What is "Meet the Mouse"?

The Central Library offers really basic computer classes on a regular basis.  "Computers for Beginners" are offered on Wednesdays (except during the month of August) from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm in the Computer Lab at the Lake County Public Library.

1st Wednesday – Meet the Mouse  Learn to hold, move, and click a mouse.  Learn some computer lingo & how to recognize the parts of the computer.

2nd Wednesday – Navigating the Net  Explore the library’s website and learn about web addresses, links, search engines, and other aspects of the World Wide Web.

3rd Wednesday – The Library Catalog  Learn how to search for a book, a video, or a CD using our online catalog.  Place your own "holds" and renew items.  You will use the skills that you learned in previous classes.  Bring your library card.

4th Wednesday – Sharpen Your Skills  Students who attended any of the first three classes in this series are encouraged to attend this fourth session where they can practice what they have learned.  An instructor will be available to answer questions and provide individual assistance.

Classes are FREE but space is limited.
Call 769-3541 ext. 346
on or after the 15th of the preceding month to reserve a seat.
